<<< MONTE CUCCO EXCURSIONS, THE CAVE and CANYONING IN RIOFREDDO

On request, we'll take you (or give advice) for an excursion to Monte Cucco (full of many marked trails for every level) and you should visit the Grotta of Monte Cucco, which provides a fixed circuit with entry on the east side and exit on the north side, a real adventure lasting 4 hours.

In Monte Cucco we could also make you live the thrilling experience of coming down the stream of Riofreddo canyoning. We provide all the necessary equipment (ropes, harness, descender, helmet).

VISIT TO MARMORE FALLS >>>

Suggestive is the visit of the famous Marmore Falls, a World Heritage Site, with its beauty, with a roaring column of water that is distributed on three jumps covering a vertical drop of 165 meters and wrapping the lush vegetation in a cloud of white foam! Even there you will find numerous hiking trails.

If you want to make a difficult test, we inform you that we are on the way to a beautiful path of a national mountain bike race (Mediofondo Chiascio) of the length of 42 km (with start and finish in Pianello, where we are located ) through the hills surrounding our structure, including the ford of the river Chiascio. We have 3 bicycles available free for our guests.

Umbria is also the ideal place for who want to take a “jump in history” because it is an area rich in archaeological treasures medieval and there are many medieval villages you will find it more or less famous but all of great historical interest and many features, remained intact time (Trevi, Montefalco, Bevagna, Ripa, Castelluccio di Norcia, Corciano, Montone, etc..).

There are also many places "to taste and living" as well as visiting. There are numerous gastronomic festivals (from May to September there are for everyone) around the various towns and folkloric events (better described in our page "Events"). Particularly “Il Mercato delle Gaite” in June in the village named Bevagna (www.ilmercatodellegaite.it), now considered among the most important historical events in Umbria, where good food meets the historical re-enactments of medieval time.

And finally .... if you want to have the pleasure of staying in our house all together, often we organize parties around the wood stove or barbecue located in the garden, where guests and managers work together to create all kinds of pizza or grilled food, drinking a glass of beer or wine, sitting at the same table. What better opportunity to create your favorite pizza!
